Event Submission

Plan an Activity

Whether it is a noon lecture, a Fun Run, or an off-campus mixer, the Gonzaga Law School Administration support club’s efforts to plan events. If you have any questions, contact Myonne Davis-Nicholson at davis-nicholson@gonzaga.edu.

Clubs must submit an Event Proposal Form at least 60 days prior to the event for CLEs, fun runs, or other large events involving the Gonzaga campus or City of Spokane. For details on the CLE process, visit the Policies page.

For all other events, clubs must submit an Event Proposal Form at least 30 days prior to the event. However, if your club plans to seek SBA funding, please see the Fund Request Page for more information regarding the timeline for seeking funds; you may need more than 30 days.

Planning Student Club Events

  1. Check the Events Calendar to ensure your event does not conflict with another event. One club event per time slot (excluding club meetings). First come, first serve.
  2. Complete the Event Proposal Form.
  3. If the event will have alcohol, complete the Alcohol Compliance Statement and determine if you need to submit the Authorization to Apply for a Banquet Permit or Special Occasion License.

The Alcohol Compliance Formmust be completed and signed by club leadership if you are planning to have alcohol at a student event, regardless of location.  On campus events additionally require that groups hire a bartender.

4. If the event is approved, you will receive an e-mail confirming the approval within two business days.
