Student Writing Competition

First- and second-year law students may compete in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law Student Writing Competition which enables students to write articles in the area of antitrust law, competition policy, and consumer protection law and receive a $2000 Cash Prize along with an Expenses-Paid Invitation to the Section’s Spring Meeting.

Writing Competition

Scholarly papers must address the issue of "A Christian's Response to Human Rights."

Papers may consider addressing issues of the source of Human Rights, the nature of Human Rights, why it matters if Human Rights have a religious or secular basis, how Human Rights are (or should be) protected and enforced, religion's role in protecting Human Rights, etc. Scholars are not bound by these suggestions and are encouraged to thoroughly address the topic in a manner that best addresses the pertinent issues.

Howard C. Schwab Memorial Essay Contest

Applicants may submit an essay on any aspect of family law and entrants are encouraged to write on subjects of national interest. However, if the law in one state reflects a significant development or trend, that too could be an appropriate subject for an entry. With the vast scope of family law, the possibilities are endless.
