Tax Law Society

Mission Statement

The mission of the Tax Law Society is to:

• Provide law students with information regarding tax programs;
• Support those interested in tax law; and
• Provide an informal setting outside of the classroom where tax students may share ideas, problems and comradeship.

Annual Activities

• Bring in speakers to discuss the many aspects of tax law.
• Take part in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, providing free preparation of tax returns for low-income, elderly, disabled, and limited-English-speaking people.

Membership Fees

Dues of $5 per school year are mandated for each member.
