Mission Statement

Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity (PDP) was established in the year 1869 to promote a higher standard of professional ethics. It is among the oldest of legal organizations in North America.
- The Fraternity was established only six months after the Columbus, Ohio, Bar Association and nine years before the American Bar Association.
- It holds a unique position in the history of the North American bench, bar and the law schools.
- Phi Delta Phi has o131 active chapters -- called Inns -- in the Western Hemisphere and the number increases yearly.
- Phi Delta Phi has initiated in excess of 200,000 members making it the world's largest legal fraternity whose membership is restricted to students and practitioners of the law.
- During the past three decades, Phi Delta Phi's reputation as an organization devoted to legal excellence has begun to spread into México and Europe.

- Outlining evening where members exchange outlines and give advice on creating better outlines

Membership
Phi Delta Phi will allow students to pledge in their first semester, but will extend a membership to a first-year student only after the mid-term grades have been posted.

Requirements of membership are a 2.7 GPA or membership on either a moot court team, the William O. Douglas Committee, the Law Review, or an SBA office.
- Membership in PDP is open to both men and women.
- A bulletin board containing membership lists for the Fraternity is located near the Law Library.
$100 initiation fee for lifetime membership. Pays for both local and international dues.
