How to Make a Funds Request
If your club is looking to host and event or speaker and can’t afford it, you can request money from the SBA. The SBA budget has a line item called “Student Enrichment” which is a chunk of money set aside for clubs to request it, be awarded the money and spend it! You never have to pay it back.
The first step in making a funds request is to fill out both an electronic and paper form. The electronic form is below. The paper form is located in the SBA Treasurer’s folder. (So, go look in Paige Holy’s 2L folder and find the tab labeled “Funds Request.”) Please fill out both forms!
Then, appear at the next SBA meeting, which are every other Monday at noon. You should receive periodic emails with information about the meetings. Any and as many club members can attend, as you’d like. At the meeting, be prepared to present your request to the SBA Board and Reps and answer their questions about the request. There is a limited amount of funds, so you may not receive all of your request (or any of it). Sometimes, we may ask you to show more fundraising efforts before we award you funds, or to gather more information and then come back to the next meeting.
