Elections for an SBA positions are held in the fall for 1Ls and spring for 2L, 3L and Board positions. Election procedures are governed by the SBA By-Laws. Each round of elections looks a little different. But to give you an idea of what the process looks like, this was the schedule for 1L elections 2 years ago:
In addition, every candidate must submit an accounting sheet at their end of their campaign, since there is a $25 maximum permitted for campaign expenses. The form can be found here:

Like the 1L elections in the fall, general elections in the spring vary from year to year. As it gets closer to election season, we’ll update the information below. But for now, below is a sample from 2 years ago of what general elections generally (ha!) look like:
