Biographical Information
The Honorable Richard White has been a member of the Spokane County District Court since January 1991. He has served two terms as the court’s Presiding Judge.
Judge White has been an Adjunct Professor since 1998. He teaches the Community Property and Community Property/Family Law sections of the Washington Practice Course. He also serves as a judge in numerous law school competitions.
Judge White edited and revised the textbook for the Community Property course originally written by Professor Emeritus Gary Randall.
Judge White has been awarded Adjunct Professor of the year for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 academic years and the Distinguished Jurist Award for Gonzaga University Law School in 2008. Judge White is a frequent presenter at Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Washington State Bar Association, Washington State Trail Lawyers Association, and the Spokane County Bar Association.
