This course focuses upon tech topics of critical importance to lawyers including the tremendous new discovery tools and options available to lawyers using social media; the critical importance for lawyers to commence smartphone discovery to avoid malpractice; the new case law affecting metadata issues in discovery that most lawyers currently ignore and the resulting potential lawyer malpractice; some of the issues regarding social media ethics impact on lawyer ethics; and the hidden metadata contained within all electronic files that lawyers must know

Credits:

Pending approval for 5.0 CLE hours, including 1.0 hours of Ethics in WA and ID.
