On January 17th, Gonzaga University’s Connelly chapter of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity hosted the 2008 Judges’ Dinner.
The annual event brings together law students, professors, and Spokane County judges.
Students, professors and judges met and mingled during the opening cocktail hour. During the catered dinner that followed, each student was seated at a table with one or more judges.
The keynote speaker, Justice Debra Stephens of the Washington State Supreme Court, provided the evening’s high point.
Justice Stephens, GU Law ’87, was recently appointed to the state’s highest court. She attended as a Thomas More Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1987.
The justice spoke on the issues of professionalism and public service.
