GU Law graduates turned in a spectacular performance on February’s Washington State Bar Exam, Dean Earl Martin said today.
“I am pleased to announced that our graduates performed exceedingly well on the February, 2008, exam,” he said.
Ninety-two percent of graduates taking the exam for the first time passed, the best results on the exam’s winter version for “well over a decade,” Martin said.
Eighty-one percent of all GU graduates taking the exam passed, easily besting the state average of 74.3 percent.
“Our overall pass-rate placed us second in the state behind only the University of Washington Law School,” he said. “This exemplary pass-rate is the result of much hard work on the part of our faculty and staff, but mostly it speaks to the quality and the commitment of our recent graduates.
“On behalf of all of us at the Law School, I want to congratulate all of you, who are now poised to take their place in the profession. We are very proud of you.”
