S. Edward Carroll, President of the Spokane County Bar Association read the names of Gonzaga University School of Law alumni and friends and the Spokane Bar Association members that passed away during the past year.
Dean Earl Martin presented the Distinguished Judicial Service Award to the Honorable Neal Q. Riley, Gonzaga University School of Law, class of 1975. Judge Rielly was appointed to the Spokane County Superior Court in 1995 and has truly distinguished himself during his time on the bench. In 2000, he began the Spokane County Juvenile Court Drug Court program, which has improved the lives of numerous children and families. In 2001, Judge Rielly received the Family Law Judge of the Year award from the Washington State Bar Association.
