A Need to Understand and Embrace

In a world that grows increasingly interconnected, there is a need to understand and embrace different cultures and traditions. Diversity enriches the student body and the legal profession. It defines our American society, and strengthens our nation.

Prejudice, discrimination, and harassment in any form have no place at Gonzaga University School of Law. Our belief in equal opportunity goes beyond a non-discrimination policy; rather, it is a statement of our belief that diversity in all forms is welcome and celebrated.

Our Commitment

The Gonzaga community is committed to the intellectual development of all students. It is grounded in the context of our mission to promote faith, service, ethics, leadership and justice, and is reflected in the fullness of our community.

• The Law School Clinic is actively involved in the legal community through representation of individuals marginalized by society due to poverty and discrimination. 
• The majority of law students at Gonzaga are involved in various student organizations (The Multi-Cultural Law Caucus, the Women’s Law Caucus, the Gonzaga Hispanic Law Caucus, the Gay-Straight Alliance [“Outlaws”], the Asian Pacific Islander Law Caucus, the Native American Law Students Association, the ACLU, Amnesty International, the Children’s Advocacy Association, and others (for more information please click the “Student Organizations” link at top left of this of page)”
• These organizations educate others within the community about different cultures, address legal issues that affect minority groups, and communicate with prospective applicants about Gonzaga and our mission.
