Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarship Opportunities for Entering Students
- Merit-based scholarships for entering students
The School of Law annually awards more than $2 million in renewable scholarships to entering students. Scholarships are based upon scholastic merit, including undergraduate grades and performance on the LSAT.
All entering applicants are considered for scholarships by the Admissions Committee.
- The Thomas More Scholarship
Each year, five incoming students are invited to participate in the Thomas More Scholarship program. Named for the 16th-century English lawyer, scholar, and statesman, the program provides a 100%-tuition scholarship. Students are selected for their motivation, academic achievement, and commitment to public service through the practice of law.
Applications are separate from, and in addition to, the application for admission or any financial aid application. More information can be found by clicking here.
Scholarship Opportunities for Current Students
- Merit-based scholarships for current students
For 2L and 3L students, merit-based scholarships may be granted based on high academic performance. No additional application is required.
- Endowed scholarships
In mid-January of each year, application notice and instructions will be sent to all current 1L and 2L students via their law school email accounts. Students will have a chance to apply for endowed/foundation scholarships. Applications will include scholarships from the general pool, as well as scholarships which may have certain specifications and/or restrictions based on donor wishes and intent.
