Evening Activities

  • Tuesday, August 19th
    • Student Bar Association Picnic
    • Optional: Following the picnic, we will offer a two-mile walking tour of the Spokane River and the falls that are its show-piece. We'll discuss the critical role the river has played in the cultures it has supported and talk about its natural and environment relevance to the region.

    • Spokane Indians baseball game

Optional Public Service Opportunity

On Thursday, Aug. 22, a volunteer group will depart from the law school at 3 p.m. and travel to Vinegar Flats Garden (approx. 10-minute drive) for a 2-3 hour work party.

Students will work in the garden and then gather for a light meal made from items grown in the garden.

Vinegar Flats Garden sits on donated property and all items grown in the garden are either delivered to kitchen staff at St. Margaret’s Shelter or sold at local farmers markets with all proceeds donated to the shelter.

Space is limited to 35 students and anyone interested should RSVP to Sharon Day in the Registrar’s office by Wed. August 13th.

Orientation Materials and Assignments:
Legal study is an interactive process. While you may be used to a lecture format in your undergraduate studies, law school is teaching you a process for thinking. Thus, this is an interactive process based upon preparation before class and discussion in class. To that end, you have reading assignments to prepare for orientation. Click here (pdf) for those materials.
IMPORTANT: Please print materials and bring them with you to Orientation.
