Hector Quiroga awarded ACC scholarship
dean earl martin, victor quiroga, washington chapter of association of corporate counsel

Hector Quiroga, a third-year Gonzaga University law student, was recently awarded a scholarship by The Washington Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the world’s largest association of in-house counsel.

The ACC serves the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations and other private sector organizations.

Hector is continuing a family tradition. Both of his parents and his grandfather practice law in Colombia, and growing up around the legal profession contributed to his early interest in the law.

His choice of Gonzaga University School of Law was influenced by a dean at another Jesuit institution— Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. The dean told Hector that Gonzaga would provide him with the solid Jesuit undergraduate and legal education he was looking for.

Hector plans to stay in the Spokane area and focus on Immigration Law, where he hopes to concentrate on defense of immigrant rights and determination of legal status.
