Circulation

The Circulation Desk, located to your immediate right as you enter the law library, is your main contact for general information about the library. Circulation is staffed by student employees working alongside supervisors. For questions regarding library hours or policies, or if you need assistance while using the library, please contact the Circulation Desk. The telephone number at the Circulation Desk is 323-5792.
Public Use of the Library
Chastek Library is open to the public. For more information on policies relating to public patrons, please click here.
Parking Permits
Visitors are required to register their cars in order to park in the law school parking lots. Visitors can park in any GREEN or ORANGE lot, but must first obtain a temporary parking permit from the Circulation Desk. Visitors to the law school staying less than two hours may park in the numbered visitor parking stalls, but must sign in with either the University Legal Assistance Clinic or the Admissions Office located off the lobby of the law school.
Reserve
Reserved materials are heavily used items intended for in-library use only. Many law professors place past exams and course materials under their name on faculty reserve. High use study aids, hornbooks, and selected legal treatises are also found on reserve. The standard loan period for reserve materials is two hours. Please ask for these items at the Circulation Desk.
Lost & Found
A lost & found box is located at the Circulation Desk. If you have misplaced an item either in the library or elsewhere in the law school, please check at the Circulation Desk to see if anyone has turned in the item.
Requested Materials
Items put on hold through Chester (the library's online catalog), via telephone request, or received in response to an interlibrary loan request, are placed behind the Circulation Desk for pickup.
Access for Individuals with Disabilities
The Circulation staff is available to assist persons with disabilities to obtain access to materials and services in the Library. For assistance, or to make suggestions regarding access to the Library, please contact the staff at the Circulation Desk.
