Circulating Materials and Due Dates

Adjunct faculty members may check out all library materials, including items that do not circulate to other patrons. The circulation period depends upon the type of item borrowed. To receive faculty borrowing privileges, adjunct faculty must obtain an official Gonzaga University identification card, which functions as a library card. To obtain a card, please contact Georgia Dunham (313-3711).

Recalls and Holds
If the item you need is checked out you may request that the item be recalled by using Chester or visiting the Circulation Desk. Once a book is recalled, it must be returned to the library within three to 17 days. Alternatively, you or the Circulation staff may put a "hold" on an item so that you will be next in line to check the item out when it is returned. In either case, you will be notified by e-mail when it is available.
Missing Books
If an item cannot be found on the shelf or in the pre-shelving area and is not checked out, please notify the Circulation staff. A library staff member will search for the item and will notify you by e-mail regarding the status. If you need the material immediately, please ask the Reference staff to help you locate the information through other means.
