Checking Out Library Materials
Checking Out and Renewing Materials
Materials are checked out and returned at the Circulation Desk. When checking out an item at the Circulation Desk you may be asked to present your valid Gonzaga University identification card. To have the Circulation Desk staff check out an item and deliver it to your office, simply call the Circulation Desk (313-5792) or e-mail Cecelia McMullen. You may return borrowed items at the Circulation Desk or place them in interoffice mail to be routed to the library. You can also call the Circulation Desk to arrange for a library staff person to pick up materials from your office.
Most items may be renewed online. Click on the "My Account" link in Chester and follow instructions to renew. You may also renew items in person or by calling the Circulation Desk (313-5792). Items with holds or recalls cannot be renewed.
Should you have any question regarding circulation procedures or policies, contact Cecelia McMullen (313-5792).

Fees for Late Returns and Lost or Damaged Items

Recalls and Holds
All items are subject to recall when requested by another patron. If you have an immediate need for an item that is checked out, you may initiate a recall by contacting the Circulation Desk. Alternatively, you or the Circulation staff may put a "hold" on an item ensuring you are next in line to check the item out when it is returned. You will be notified by e-mail when it is available.
Missing Books
If an item cannot be found on the shelf, please notify the Circulation staff, who will search for the item and notify you by e-mail regarding the outcome. If you need the material immediately, please ask the Reference staff for assistance in locating the information through other means.
