Biographical Information

Michael J. Pontarolo is a principal in the Spokane/Seattle law firm of Delay, Curran, Thompson, Pontarolo & Walker. His primary focus is worker's compensation and Social Security disability law. He has served as an adjunct professor of worker's compensation since 1988 and is a member of Gonzaga School of Law Advisory Board.

He is also a member of:

  • Washington State Bar Association (WSBA)
  • American Bar Association
  • Association of Trial Lawyers of America
  • Washington State Trial Lawyers (WSTLA)
  • Spokane County Bar Association (SCBA), serving as SCBA's president in 1989-1990

Prof. Pontarolo was a board member for WSTLA and served as its Vice-President, East.

In 2003, he was elected 5th District Representative to the Board of Directors of the WSBA, having served on its Professional Conduct Committee, Consumer Protection Committee and Inter-professional Committee.

He had also chaired the Judicial Recommendation and Character and Fitness committees.

Since 1984, he has acted as a Special District Counsel for the WSBA.

Prof. Pontarolo is listed in a number of Who's Who registries and for three consecutive years was designated a "Super Lawyer" by Washington Law and Politics. He is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and is listed Best Trial Lawyers in America.
