Biographical Information
David Daggett has taught Internet Law at Gonzaga since 2001. Prof. Daggett is a partner in the Technology/Intellectual Property department of the Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP law firm. He has a varied practice including licensing and litigation of intellectual property matters with a special emphasis on trademark matters and insurance coverage for intellectual property.
Before entering the legal profession, Prof. Daggett served as as a computer programmer, systems analyst, and local area network engineer. As a Novell Certified Network Engineer, he installed and maintained personal computer networks throughout California, Washington, and Texas.
Prof. Daggett wrote and maintained the billing software for the nation's largest construction and temporary fencing rental firm.
His background in programming, systems design, and implementation arms David with a unique approach to the analysis and resolution of legal issues facing technology firms.
Prof. Daggett has his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and his law degree, summa cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Washington, Idaho and California.
