Biographical Information

Matt Anderson is a principal in the firm Winston & Cashatt, which he joined after serving three years as a prosecutor in the United States Army Judge Advocate Corps (JAG). He is a frequent lecturer on business, banking and employment issues and has taught UCC Article 2 at Gonzaga School of Law as an adjunct professor.

Andersen's practice focuses on commercial- and business-related litigation. He is admitted at all levels of state and federal courts in Washington and Idaho. He has appeared in matters in Montana, Oregon, Alaska and California, as well as before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

He has extensive experience in disputed business transactions, construction claims, products liability and employment issues. Within those areas, Anderson advises clients in numerous matters involving contracts, banking practices, municipal law and employment agreements, retaliatory firings and discrimination.

Before attending law school, Anderson was employed as a research associate with Braddock, Dunn & MacDonald, a defense contractor, from 1971 to 1973.
