BulletHow to Find a Job

spacer

The materials you prepare for prospective employers are key to landing that perfect position. Your resume must be impeccable, your cover letter unique.

There is no better time than now to begin practicing the rigor that will be expected of you as an attorney. These materials are your formal introduction to your new professional community. Take pride in you work; give it the time and attention it deserves.

In the left-hand panel you will find links to samples of cover letters and resumes. Use these samples as a guide, not a template. Do not copy them, or even portions therein. Employers can tell when a document includes boilerplate.

Besides, this is your opportunity to establish your unique qualities, personality, and outlook.

Every correspondence to your future employer should be professional, so we've also included a page on such supplemental materials as thank-you letters, a letter of acceptance, and more.

Finally, your ability to present yourself well, your networking skills, and your interviewing skills are central to your job search. The job search link on the left will give you tips and advice on how to navigate yourself into the job of your dreams.
