LCC Minority Outreach Program
The Minority Outreach Mentor Program

Though not strictly a scholarship program, the LCC Minority Outreach Program introduces minority law students to the practice of union-side labor law through summer clerkship opportunities at LCC law firms and legal departments. Clerkships are enhanced by a summer conference and mentor program.

Diversity Scholarship

DRI announces its annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program open to incoming second- and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian and Native American students. The goal of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance to two worthy law students from ABA accredited law schools.

Incoming second- and third-year female law students are also eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity. Incoming second- and third-year law students who also come from backgrounds that would add to the cause of diversity, regardless of race or gender are eligible to apply.

Loren Miller Bar Foundation
Philip L. Burton Memorial Scholarship

The Loren Miller Bar Foundation provides the Philip L. Burton Memorial Scholarship primarily to deserving economically disadvantaged third-year law students of color, who possess a demonstrated commitment to helping others. The scholarship funds are provided expressly to offset the recipient’s Washington State Bar Exam preparation course expenses.

Women Trial Lawyers Caucus of the American Association for Justice (AAJ)
2012 Mike Eidson Scholarship

The Mike Eidson Scholarship Fund was established by the AAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus in 2008, in honor of AAJ Past President Mike Eidson, whose vision and generosity inspired it. The Scholarship, traditionally given in the amount of $5,000, is awarded annually to a rising 3L (or rising 4L in a night program) female student who has demonstrated a commitment to a career as a plaintiffs’ lawyer or criminal defense lawyer, along with dedication to upholding and defending the principles of the Constitution, and to the concept of a fair trial, the adversary system, and a just result for the injured, the accused, and those whose rights are jeopardized.
