Gonzaga University School of Law's Clinical Law Program is a 501C3 non-profit group known as University Legal Assistance (ULA).

Application Deadlines

  • Fall
    • Applications taken in March
    • Notifications will be issued by mid-April

  • Spring
    • Applications taken in September
    • Notifications will be issued by mid-October

  •  Summer
    • Applications taken in February
    • Notifications will be issued by mid-March

Enrollment Information

Students can enroll in clinic classes for credit in the fall, spring and summer semesters. A student may take a total of 15 Clinical Law credits toward the 90 credits required to graduate.

  • Clinic offerings change each semester.
  • Students can enroll in clinic classes for credit in the fall, spring and summer semesters.
  • Students may enroll in the clinical program for one or more semesters.
  • Students who wish to enroll for more than one semester must reapply each successive semester.
  • Students become eligible to enroll for the two-credit litigation support clinic after completing their first year.
  • Students may register for the five-credit general public interest practice clinic after completing their second year of law school.
  • A student may take a total of fifteen clinical law credits toward the 90 credits required to graduate.

  • Clinic Application Form (pdf) - download and submit to the Center for Law and Justice office, Suite 101 at Gonzaga University School of Law.
  • Clinic Course Descriptions - lists information on credits per clinic and student eligibility requirements.

Notification of Acceptance

  • After submitting application, you will be notified of acceptance.
  • Upon acceptance, Bonnie White, Clinic Office Manager, will notify the registrar's office of your selection for clinical enrollment.
  • The  registrar will automatically add the credits to your registration.
  • If you should register for a semester prior to being notified of your acceptance for clinical enrollment, you may wish to register for alternative course credits, which could then be dropped after being advised of your clinic acceptance.
