This course will include a study of basic water law, including:

• Riparian and appropriation rights
• Groundwater
• The public trust doctrine
• Interstate allocation of water
• The navigability concept and federal regulation including reclamation and flood control laws
• Water, irrigation and drainage districts
• Environmental protection
