FAQ
How do I apply for admission?
You must apply to the law school and the Masters program separately; admission into one does not automatically grant admission into the other. Once admitted to both programs, you are considered a dual-degree student. You must contact Stacey Chatman and Sharon Day upon admission to both schools to be considered a dual-degree student.
How is tuition calculated?
You will be charged tuition based on the courses you are taking. To ensure this, you must contact both Joan Henning at the School of Law and Student Accounts on the main campus.
When do I register?
| TERM | LAW CLASSES | MBA & MAcc CLASSES |
| Fall | May (date depends on your year in school) | 1st week of April |
| Spring | November (date depends on your year in school) | Mid-November |
| Summer 1 | Mid-March | Mid-March |
| Summer 2 | Mid-March | Mid-March |
Are both schools on the same academic calendar?
No. In Fall and Spring semesters, law school begins a week before business school. Both schools have 15-week semesters, but the law school has two weeks of finals, whereas the business school has just one week of finals. Finals for both schools end at the same time.
NOTES:
- The final week of the business-school semester may conflict with the first week of law-school finals. You may need to adjust your schedule accordingly.
- Law school summer sessions start a week later than business-school summer sessions.
- Florence summer program students should be aware of the start/end schedule discrepancy before making travel plans.
- The law school observes the Memorial Day holiday on Memorial Day; however, due to its later start, the graduate school of business observes it a few weeks later.
How do I register?
You may use ZagWeb to register for law school classes. Try to register for all your classes first; if you are unable to do that, proceed to the next step.
To register for MBA and MAcc classes, email your advisor at the Graduate School of Business and include the CRN(s) for the classes, your student ID, and note that you are a MAcc/JD student.
