What Do You Expect From a Law School?
Gonzaga Law's curriculum is firmly rooted in the theory and practice of law. Our program is designed to graduate legal professionals prepared with the knowledge, training and practical skills the law demands.
- Graduation Requirement: 90 course credits, plus 30 hours of public service.
- Classes emphasize the link between legal doctrine and practical application.

Areas of Concentration
The School of Law offers three areas of concentration. A concentration is not required for graduation, but each area of study fulfills a specific need especially appropriate to law in the 21st Century.
- Each concentration requires students to take 18-20 credits in the area
- A 3.0 GPA must be maintained in concentration courses
- A directed research project must be completed
Concentrations offered include:
- Business Law Offers general business, intellectual property, international business, commerce, labor, and tax law.
- Environmental/Natural Resources Law Faculty teach a wide range of courses that prepare students for careers in numerous areas of environmental law practice.
- Public Interest Law Students spend a minimum of two consecutive semesters in an approved externship program, focused on public interest issues.

Dual Degree Programs
A dual degree helps a student marry his or her interest in law with other career interests. This is especially useful for students who may have established careers in related disciplines before entering law school.
